Child Care Center

An outreach ministry of the United Methodist Church of Gales Ferry.
Founded in 1972 by Center Director Carol Hammer.
 
The UMCCC is a preschool-based child care center, open 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. five days a week, year round.

Program Highlights Include:

  • Morning Toddler Classes
  • Morning Class and afternoon Nap Room for 3 year olds
  • Morning and Afternoon Classes for 4 year olds
  • Afternoon Class for children attending morning Kindergarten
  • Day Care after 3:00 PM
  • Full and Half Day Programs
  • Children can attend two or more days per week
  • Coordination with public school Kindergarden programs
  • Summer Fun program for six weeks after July 4th

Faculty Includes:

Sixteen Teachers, Teacher Assistants, Aides and Substitutes
The Center is licensed by the Connecticut Department of Health. We serve approximately 105 children who come from throughout Southeastern Connecticut, including Gales Ferry, Ledyard, Groton, Preston, Norwich, and Montville. The UMCCC has a Parent Teachers Connection (PTC). The purpose and vision of the PTC is to foster cooperative and productive relationships with UMCCC staff, caregivers and parents, families and the community in order to support our children’s development and learning.
